When the popup comes up, it wants me to sign in with a SPECIFIC email password it already has the user name there When I try to erase the username and put my current sign on info in, it won't accept it because it already wants the account info for my old email that I do not even use anymore!
I am beyond frustrated. I have been in the control panel - actually tried deleting that account from the Windows user credentials and still not fixed. I have also done everything listed above. I have tried to do all the instructions listed in this forum to fix Outlook from asking for Windows Security login, and I can state a fact that they don't work.
I've even tried turning it on, rebooting the PC and re logging in, then turning it off, but it's always the same, this Windows Security popup. I've cleared the credentials numerous times via Control Panel, as also suggested, and to no avail.

Wish we could get an answer for this. So frustrating. I will tell you how to fix it. This works and it's not "worthless". You are the worthless for not reading the first lines.
Everything is there. But you must read first. Then think and then write blabla Get it to be blank. I can't recall how I got there, but I think it's just one click away. Type in your user name for your email and the password.
That worked for me. It never comes up again. I believe the first time it didn't work, but then tried it again and it worked. For me, i will tell you what really worked: Go to control panel user settings and credentials, clear all credentials related with outlook.
Does not exist in control panel. What's it really called? Help full content. Did not help. The box was already un-checked. Pop ups still there. Have you tried creating a new profile? After you enter the new password and then click to enable the Remember my credentials option, you are not prompted again during the current Windows session. However, if you log off Windows, log back in, and start Outlook, you are again prompted for your credentials. Before your password changed, you saved your credentials.
The stored credentials are not overwritten when Outlook triggers the authentication prompt even if you enable the Remember my credentials option.
